Finally! It’s Freedom Day!

A picture is worth a thousand words in my  Juneteenth quilt “Finally! It’s Freedom Day”. The applique quilt shows a trio of birds escaping from their cage. But birds are everywhere in this quilt. They are in the border. They are in the background quilting done by Maxine Moore. To me, birds represent freedom.
Of course I added my trademark words to the quilt just in case you did not get the message.
There are many African fabrics in the quilt and the back is an African print. There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display and a label that documents the quilt. I signed it on the front.
