Wearing My Invisible Crown on the Day of Queen Elizabeth II’s Funeral

Wearing My Invisible Crown, 28 X 42 inch red and white applique quilt by O.V. Brantley, 2016.

On the day of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral we can all reflect on the qualities of a great queen — duty, service grace and joy. So today I am “Wearing My Invisible Crown” and channeling my inner queen as I prepare for my solo exhibit of red and white quilts opening November 19, 2022 at the Emma Darnell Aviation Museum and Conference Center, 3900 Aviation Circle, Atlanta. The exhibit is entitled Long Time Coming: A Retropective of O.V. Brantley's Red and White Quilts.
