Growing up in a small town in Arkansas, we did not have New Year’s Eve parties. We went to First Baptist Church and “watched” the New Year in. It was called Watch Night Service. The congregation sang and prayed the new year in. My quilt Watch Night preserves that memory in my mind. ⛪️🎶🎵🎤🎸🥁🙏🏾
