I love the thought of Thanksgiving, but I am not an action person where Thanksgiving is concerned. In other words, I hate to cook and avoid doing it whenever I can.

However, I am compulsive about practicing gratitude every day of the year. On Thanksgiving Eve I focus on being grateful for the wonderful family I grew up with — Mama, Daddy, Rhonda and LaJetta. We celebrated Thanksgiving with all the trimmings and felt blessed and bountiful. I treasure those memories. I can still smell the pound cake in the oven.

Since I choose not to celebrate Thanksgiving with all the trimmings, the best thing about Thanksgiving Eve for me is that I will put the finishing touches on my Christmas decoration and be ready to light up my tree at dusk tomorrow night. I love Christmas! And I have a parade of Christmas quilts to share with you. (I try to add a new Christmas quilt to my collection each year).

Meanwhile, enjoy the Gratitude Season! 🦃 I am grateful for you!🙏🏽

P.S. I will be keeping my angels close as always. I am truly grateful for the angels, both heavenly and earthly, who watch over me.
