Now that I am home from the International Quilt Festival where I exhibited three of my quilts, I have had time to reflect on the many beautiful quilts I saw. It is impossible for me to pick a favorite, but I admire all the quilt artists (including me) who were willing to share their quilts and subject themselves to criticism as well as praise. We should all strive to stand out in the crowd in our authentic way no matter the risk. That’s how we grow. That’s how we make a difference.
