My quilt Santa’s Joy is exhibiting at the Atlanta Quilt Festival until September 7th. It is part of the juried exhibit, but I am not part of the voting for Best of Show because I am a co-founder of the Atlanta Quilt Festival.
Relieved of any stress to impress anyone, I chose to exhibit a quilt that brings me joy. I love Christmas, and I try to make a new Christmas quilt every year. Christmas quilts do not have to be masterpieces, and Santa’s Joy certainly is not. It is a panel quilt with my special touches, but it captures the spirit of Christmas perfectly.
I hope visitors at the Atlanta Quilt Festival will feel the love and joy that jumps out of this quilt.
