Mornings are the best on cruises. I try to start every day with meditation and a notation in my gratitude journal, but there is something about doing it in the middle of a vast ocean that makes it special.

Recently, the word I have thought about most is “friendship.” I suppose that is to be expected when you are celebrating your 70th birthday with nine of your friends. 🚢

Rocking the ship in red!

The celebration, which has been amazing, has reminded me that I must be intentional, determined and active about friendship. I vow to stay in touch, plan fun dates, be a good listener, provide support when needed and love deeply.

White night!

Meanwhile, we had a beautiful blast! We are already thinking about what may be next.

I hope my journey has inspired you to be intentional about friendship today. Make this year your best yet.

I gifted my fellow travelers a journal book entitled “Best Year Yet” so we decided to have book club on the ship in the Library Bar.
70 is great!
