I took the plunge and planted some daffodils. Because I recently got my back yard professionally landscaped to properly blend in with my new porch and patio, I figured it was now or never.
I have always loved daffodils because they are usually the first sign of spring I notice. Just when you think you might want to lay down and die because you can’t stand another day of cold gray winter, you spot a little yellow peeping out of the ground.

I think I may have planted my daffodils too late for spring blooms this year, but I hope some of the 100 bulbs I planted will survive to pleasantly surprise me next year, and save me from suicide.

Moral of this story — plant joy in your life at every opportunity. 🌱
