I can’t believe it’s been 4 years since the magical moment of seeing Oprah on stage holding her quilt gift. I was commissioned by the Charlotte chapter of the United Negro College Fund to make a quilt for the woman who has everything. I named it Living My Best Life at College.

I am forever grateful to Justine Boyd for the referral, to Maxine Moore for the machine quilting, to Jackie Jackson-Harvey for the machine embroidery, to India Brantley for the photos, and to the UNCF Charlotte for the trust. I hope Oprah is still enjoying her quilt. 🍂🍁💛👧🏾🌅🖼🙏🏾
