It was my great pleasure to welcome the audience to Nancy Franklin’s lecture My Quilt is Finished. Now What? at the Atlanta Quilt Festival. Nancy spoke to a capacity crowd about documenting, caring for and placing a value your quilt in the beautiful Southwest Arts Center Gallery with stunning John Lewis quilts as a backdrop.

The lecture was part of the inaugural season of the Marva Swanson Lecture series. Everyone learned a lot about taking care of vintage quilts. Attendees left with a renewed commitment to always label their quilts and to take great care of them so that when appraised, they fetch the best price.

A reception followed the lecture during which old friends re-connected and new friends were made.
