Today is the day that Good Trouble Quilts — The Fight. The Progress. The Legacy. goes on sale. I curated and edited the book on behalf of the Atlanta Quilt Festival, the publisher. Buy the book and read my introduction to learn why I was driven to make the book a reality. It is available at atlantaquiltfestival.com. Amazon, and BarnesandNoble.com. Hopefully it will be in your local book store soon if you make a point to ask for it when you visit.
Valentine’s Day is a day of love and committment. As one of my quilts conveys, Congressman Lewis inspired me with his words and deeds. It is remarkable and magical to do something only for the purpose of helping other people. Although, I am in no way equating the Atlanta Quilt Festival with the civil rights movement, that is how I feel about my work at the Atlanta Quilt Festival. I am committed to preserving, promoting and sharing my love of quilting and African American quilting in particular.
Buy the book to help the Atlanta Quilt Festival carry on the joy and preservation of African American quilts.

P.S. I have six quilts in the book.
