The holiday season would be nothing without music. I never tire of hearing the traditional holiday songs no matter who is performing them. I am very reluctant to embrace “new” Christmas music. My love of Christmas music inspired my quilt Musical Christmas Star.
Recently I spent a delightful night out at Symphony Hall where Leslie Odom, Jr. (of Hamilton fame) and his band presented a lovely concert of Christmas music. The venue is small and intimate, and Odom made sure he did not intrude on the music. It was magical.
