Introducing Tumbling Among the Stars

After making any new quilt, my next thought is "I wonder what this quilt would look like in red and white."

That was the inspiration for Tumbling Among the Stars after I made the very colorful Floating on Sunshine and Back Yard Star Gazing.

Tumbling Among the Stars measures 31 X 43 inches and is composed of only two red and white traditional tumbling block blocks. I appliqued the blocks on a black ground and adding borders. I lovingly quilted it by hand and embellished it with yo-yo's and white star buttons.

The fabric on the back of the quilt is a black and white floral print. There is a hanging sleeve on the back of the quilt and a label that documents the quilt. Tumbling Among the Stars is one of a kind.

Don't forget you can see my solo exhibit of red and white quilts at the International Quilt Festival in Houston November 2 - 5.
