Introducing “Stop Disappearing. Show Up and Speak Up!”

The latest addition to my red and white quilt collection is Stop Disappearing! Show Up and Speak Up! My quilt is composed of red and white Disappearing Nine Patch blocks. I embellished many of the blocks with a “vote charm” to carry out the theme of the quilt.

There is a hanging sleeve on the back of the quilt, and a label that documents the quilt. I signed it on the front.

This quilt may be part of my solo exhibit Long Time Coming: A Retrospective Exhibit of O.V. Brantley’s Red and White Quilts scheduled for November 19, 2022 through January 13, 2023 at the Emma Darnell Aviation Museum and Conference Center, 3900 Aviation Circle, Atlanta, GA.
