The newest edition to my red and white quilt collection is Praise Team Praising. This one took a while because it is all done by hand. She will make her public debut in the Atlanta Quilt Festival juried exhibit August 6th - September 2d at the Southwest Arts Center, 915 New Hope Road, South Fulton, GA.
This quilt is a study in red and white. The three ladies were appliquéd by hand using the Apliquick method. The pieced border is a traditional four patch.
I lovingly hand quilted Praise Team Praising using an echo design in the background and a stenciled pattern in the border.
Although she was already pretty, I added star buttons in the background and embellished their outfits with crystals, pearls embroidery.
There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.
I signed it on the front and added a charm that says “Angels watching over me.”
This quilt is one-of-a-kind.
