Introducing Hotlanta Nights

We love the sultry hotness of Atlanta. Everything about Atlanta is hot — the weather, the culture, the growth, the people. My new quilt Hotlanta Nights captures the vibe of an Atlanta night.

The fabric inspired the quilt. Close inspection reveals an urban abstract scenes in some of the blocks that form the center of the quilt. Two borders make the quilt measure 39 X 48 inches. The last border is a circular African fabric that pays homage to the ancestral heritage of many Atlanta residents.

Hotlanta Nights was pieced on my Janome sewing machine and quilted by Maxine Moore. The fabric on the back is a brown batik. There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.

I signed it on the front and added a charm that says “Success, Money, Happiness”.

This quilt is one-of-a kind.
