I have returned to my “Give Yourself Flowers” series with Give Yourself a Flower That Lives Free. This series is my reminder to always be good to myself. I never wait for someone else to do it.

“Give Yourself a Flower That Lives Free” start with the bold red flower panel from Stephanie Brandenburg. The remaining colors in the quilt are inspired by the flower. After adding borders, Give Yourself a Flower That Lives Free measures 44 X 45 inches. It is machine pieced, appliqued and quilted. After the quilt was quilted, I embellished it with crystals, buttons, words and charms.

The back of the quilt is a red and yellow African print. There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.

I signed it on the front and added a charm that says “Live Free.”

This quilt is one-of-a-kind.
