Introducing Give Yourself A Flower on Fire

Sometimes courage must be summoned. Fear can paralyze and keep you from reaching your goals. Every successful person experiences fear, but they find a way to summon their courage and do amazing things. Give Yourself a Flower on Fire is my reminder to be fearless and do amazing things.

Give Yourself a Flower on Fire is part of my “Give Yourself Flowers” series of art quilts. This series is a reminder that we should be good to ourselves and not wait for someone else to do it.

Give Yourself a Flower on Fire measures 51 X 52 inches. It starts with the bold and vibrant flower panel created by Stephanie Brandenburg. Various borders and a collage of flowers add intrigue to the quilt.

I pieced Give Yourself a Flower on Fire on my Janome sewing machine, and my friend Maxine Moore quilted a swirl pattern into the background on her long arm machine. The quilt is embellished with words, buttons, ribbons, trim and a charm that says “fearless.”

The back of the quilt is an African blue, green and orange fabric. There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.

This quilt is one-of-a-kind.
