Recently the Welcome All Quilt Guild took a road trip to the Atlanta Quilt Festival and to the Arts Clayton Gallery to see the Good Trouble Quilts -- Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Congressman John Lewis exhibit. It was a fun day of quilts and friendship.

The Atlanta Quilt Festival featured over 100 quilts of all genres and techniques. We enjoyed making the impossible decision of choosing our top 3 quilts for Best of Show from the 75 quilts in the juried exhibit.

I enjoyed sharing the stories behind the quilts in the Thank You John Lewis! I Am Your Wildest Dream! exhibit because I curated the exhibit, and I have two quilts in the exhibit.

At the Arts Clayton Gallery, we viewed the Good Trouble Quilts. Several of the members of the guild have a quilt in the exhibit. The exhibit consists of 35 original quilts and fiber art honoring Congressman Lewis. It will continue through September 15th.
