Girls Trip! India, Baby Addison and I are headed to the International Quilt Festival in Houston this week. My quilt Winter Wonderland Wanderlust is part of the “Tactile Architecture” exhibit, and I am excited to see her hanging with the other beautiful quilts.

Other than taking pictures with Winter Wonderland Wanderlust, I will be on vacation. Unlike last year when I was responsible for not one but two exhibits, this year I have no responsibilities. Last year I enjoyed presenting Gallery Talks for the Atlanta Quilt Festival’s Good Trouble Quilts — Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Congressman John Lewis AND my personal exhibit Long Time Coming: A Retrospective of O.V. Brantley’s Red and White Quilts. It was an exhausting trip.

Of course we will keep you posted on our travels. India and I are starting a new chapter of our Mother/Daughter travels. As you know, we love traveling the world. Now we are Mother/Daughter/Baby travels!

We are so excited to start Baby Addison on her quilting journey at 4 months old so she can actually experience all the color and absorb all the love quilts have to give. Little did I know that Baby Addison had already started her quilting journey last year inside India!

Have fun!
