My quilt Potion to Cure Racism started out as a simple quilt I could use to decorate my home during the Halloween season. Along the way it turned into a social justice quilt.
When I was growing up, we called the woman in the community who could put a spell on you the root lady. Whether it’s the root lady or a witch, I wish whoever is using this cauldron much success in coming up with the right potion to cure racism.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
