Good Things are Happening

Here’s anothe peek into my personal Black History. Growing up in my small southern segregated town I had never seen a black lawyer — and definitely not a black female lawyer. One can only imagine and dream under these circumstances. So, I did.

Joyfully after becoming a lawyer, I found my happy place in local government advising those who make decisions for the rest of us. Shown is my quilt “Good Things are Happening” (a favorite slogan of my personal Commissioner). It is my memory quilt commemorating my over 8 years of service as the Fulton County Attorney. It hangs in my home office.

Hope you are enjoyPresident’s Day and took time to appreciate those who serve. ⚖️🤩💪🏾🙏🏾🪡🧵
