Available! Prints of Follow Me to Freedom

Follow Me to Freedom is part of the traveling exhibit of my solo exhibit of red and white quilts entitled Long Time Coming: A Retrospective of O.V. Brantley’s Red and White Quilts. The exhibit premiered in Atlanta at the Emma Darnell Aviation Museum and Conference Center November 19, 2022 and was featured at the 2023 International Quilt Festival in Houston November 1 - 5, 2023. The original quilt is currently not for sale.

This print is a digital copy of an original red and white quilt that features Underground Railroad quilt blocks set in a landscape setting. The words "Follow Me to Freedom" and "Harriet Tubman" appliqued to the quilt provide further meaning to the quilt. The quilt is heavily embellished with flowers, buttons and yo-yo's to add dimension to the quilt. An angel watches over the journey to freedom.

The unframed, matted archival pigment print (AKA Giclee) is printed on 100% cotton rag museum quality paper. Giclee prints are the state-of-the-art museum quality print medium today. The matted print is 16 X 16 inches which allows you to easily find a standard frame for your print. It is delivered in a clear plastic bag.

I signed the print is on the front. Limited quantities are offered for $600 in my studio store.
