Angels in My Solo Red and White Quilt Exhibit

Clara Ford is my grandmother. She was a quilter, and I inherited eight of her quilts.

There are seven angel quilts flying around in my exhibit Long Time Coming: A Retrospective of O.V. Brantley's Red and White Quilts. They represent the female descendants of my grandmother Clara Ford, who was a quilter, and my mother Evora.

Evora Hicks is my Mom.

They are Brianna, Brittany, Clara, Evora, India, LaJetta, and Rhonda. Whether in heaven or on earth, these angels are never far from my heart and support me in success and failure.

Daughter India sits in front of her angel.

Maxine Moore quilted the angels in the background and embroidered the names. Check them out in person when you visit my exhibit which runs through January 13, 2023.
