After being stuck in the house for over a year hiding from the pandemic, I promised myself that when the world was safe again, I would make a point to support other artists. With that promise to myself in mind, I attended the Opening Reception for the What a Web exhibit at the Arts Clayton Gallery.
Several of my friends have pieces in this fiber and textile exhibit. My friends are Myla Chapman, K-Joy Peters and Sandy Teepen. Other artists in the exhibit are Dionne Fraser-Carter, Rebecca Gilliard, Esaba Hebert, Terumi Todd Denise Wood and Kenneth Zakee.
I will share some of the pieces in this post, but I don’t want to spoil it for you. The exhibit continues until October 8th. Hopefully you will put it on your gallery schedule. The gallery is located at 136 South Main Street, Jonesboro, GA 30236.
As for the opening, it included live music, spoken word and, of course, food and wine. Check out other activities at artsclayton.org.
Congrats to Arts Clayton Interim Director Brian Hebert for putting together a beautiful exhibit! Glad we were able to re-connect.😁
