A Night Out at Gallery 72

Tanya, O.V. and Odessa

Gallery 72 held a reception and artist talk for the highly acclaimed Lives Lost, Lives Remembered exhibit. The exhibit of eight quilts document lynchings that took place in Atlanta. The exhibit was historical, gut wrenching and thought provoking. There were also quilts exhibited by the quilters that were not part of the Lives Lost, Lives Remembered exhibit. The best part of the night for me was hanging out with my quilting friends.

Lives Lost, Lives Remembered will spend the summer at Southwest Arts Center June 17 - September 2 as part of the City of South Fulton’s Juneteenth exhibit and the Atlanta Quilt Festival exhibit. You definitely want to see this exhibit.
